Meet Globe at PDAC 2013
The history of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) dates back to 1932 when the Ontario mining exploration industry came under threat by proposed regulation changes by the Canadian government. It has since grown in membership to over 9000 members and holds an annual conference in Toronto, which attracted over 30,000 people in 2012. Interestingly, the timing of the conference relates to the end of the winter in North America when Prospectors and Developers would head to downtown Toronto to raise funds for the coming season. A trend that continues today but on a much larger scale, with now over 400 companies exhibiting.
As an international HR consulting and search firm, Globe 24-7 is pleased to be attending the 2013 PDAC Conference and will be represented by Jaime Alvarez (Regional Manager, Americas), Victoria Moreno (Consultant) and Giselle Kimos (Consultant). The team will be making their way to various social functions including the Reception event, Peruvian event, Mexican event and the PWC event along with attending many pre-arranged meetings with existing and new clients.
