Globe 24-7 Launches New Office in Colombia
Globe 24-7 is pleased to announce the establishment of a new office in Bogotá, Colombia to service the Latin American resources sector.
Globe’s Regional Manager for the Americas, Mr Jaime Alvarez, is very excited about this development, commenting that “our growing base of Latin American clients led us to conclude that we should develop a local presence in the region in addition to our Canadian office in Toronto. Our new Bogotá office allows us to be more accessible for HR and recruitment collaboration efforts at both a regional, and now local level.”
The office will be managed by Mr Juan David Viñas Restrepo, who has been working in the Colombian market for several years, recruiting for the local mining industry.
Globe’s CEO, Mr Lachlan Spicer, added to Alvarez’s comments stating that “Colombia has a rich history of mining and provides us with a perfect location to base our Latin American growth for the years ahead. To be able to support our current clients from within the region is critical to maintaining our high standard of service delivery. Juan David is an excellent addition to our team, who brings a wealth of knowledge within the local and regional resources sectors and we are very pleased to have him on board.”
Globe is a member of the Australian Latin American Business Council (ALABC), and welcomed a recent article published in Mining News from ALABC’s Chairman, Mr Jose Blanco, who wrote positively about the Colombian mining market. His article was summarised with closing comment “Colombia represents an outstanding opportunity for Australia and, in particular, our mining, technology and services (METS) companies”.
Mr Alvarez shares a similar view, adding “Mr Blanco’s comments are very timely as they reflect exactly why we are committed to establishing a formal presence in Colombia. It is a great fit for our company, due to our strong track record working in emerging markets and we look forward to now being able to provide a much more local service for the industry.”
