Supporting the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer

June 9-10, 2012. Riding through Ontario’s picturesque countryside in two days, the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause.

Inmet Mining and Globe 24-7 have worked together on many Human Resources and Recruiting projects and we are pleased to share the commercial successes of our companies. With this in mind, we are proud to support the Inmet cycling team as they tackle this physically challenging event.

As they have since the inaugural event more than five years ago, Inmet is gearing up for the epic Ride to Conquer Cancer, which takes 4,000 riders from Toronto to Hamilton and the Niagara Falls. The “Ride” has raised $80 million thus far which is entirely dedicated to The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre for one single purpose: To find the cure for cancer.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto is one of the most highly regarded cancer research centres in the world contributing to the advanced research that will ultimately allow us to beat this illness. Over the years, Riders for team Inmet have raised more than $200,000 through their efforts. Recently, Inmet announced a partnership with The Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre in combination with a $1 million donation.

Our thoughts will be with team captain Krista Preik and the entire team of devoted riders as they show their support for the countless people touched by this terrible disease and contribute to the ultimate goal of conquering cancer. If you too would like to show your support for this worthwhile event, you can do so here.
