A TSX-listed gold mining company is commencing operation of an open-pit mine site and progressing with construction of a processing facility in Ghana. This is a residential opportunity and attractive salaries are on offer. Roles commence at an early stage of operation so this is a chance to play a critical role in shaping the future of mine operation. Globe 24-7 has been engaged to source the following key roles:
Reporting to the General Manager. The Mine Manager will lead and manage the mining function including preparing and then transitioning from project status to operations including mine planning, technical services and contractor management.
Reporting to the Mining Manager. Oversee the mining production activities on a daily and monthly basis including mine planning and resourcing.
Report to the Technical Services Superintendent. Review Life of mine and other plans to meet mining targets. Monitor Drill & Blast and improve quality & cost. Prepare/review reports. Compile/review budgets.
Report to the Chief Mine Engineer. Develop Long Term and Short Term designs. Optimise mine schedule/cut-off, pit designs, haul optimisation & fleet requirement reconciliation. Oversee mining contractor, ensuring targets are met.
Report to Mining Superintendent. Monitor/coordinate operation/contractor teams. Ensure interaction/communications between departments. Health, Safety and Environment compliance. Manage team development, training & succession planning.
Report to Technical Services Superintendent. Develop operating procedures. Establish survey control. Manage data/reporting. Mark up grade control. Budget preparation assistance.
Report to Chief Surveyor. Control/capture accurate geo-spatial activities. Assist in volumetric calculations for earthworks, construction, service installation, infrastructure. Assist with Operations Procedures and Assessments.
Report to the Mine Surveyor. Assist and support Surveyors in field surveys. Maintain database of logs, reports and records. Ensure surveys are completed to company standards.
Other Mine Personnel:
Report to the Mine Manager. Coordinate meetings & site access. Capital Expenditure records. Collate reports & invoices. Collect Health, Safety, Loss Prevention and Environment statistics. Work order reconciliation. Pronto support. Develop filing and document control systems.
Report to the Mining Supervisor. Support production target achievement. Assist Mining Contractor. Communication with Drill & Blast and Dewatering Crews.
